Can I set a specific exam date and impose a time limit?
You can control the length of exams by setting a beginning and end time between which a student can take the exam.
You can also set a time limit which starts once the student has started the exam.
Concretely, if you do not define a time limit, students will be able to pass the exam between the beginning and end time without restriction.
If on the contrary you define a time limit, students will be limited in time once they start the exam. They will be allowed to take the exam within the time limit OR until the exam end time.
The image below illustrates two examples with the following parameters: in A, the exam begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with no time limit; in B, the exam begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. but with a limit of 120 minutes / 2 hrs. The different colored bars represent different students connecting at different times.
